Eddie Sternberg



Eddie’s first short film OUT OF BODY was funded by TFL and premiered at The London Short Film Festival in January 2015. It was nominated at Emden-Norderney Film Festival for the Engelke Award and selected for the BFI Black Star Season in 2016.

His second short film I USED TO BE FAMOUS was made on the BFI/Film London ‘London Calling Southern Exposure Film Fund’. The film premiered at Leeds International Film Festival in November 2015 in the Best British Short category, and has since gone on to win The Grand Prix, Best Fiction Film and Audience Awards at Plymouth Film Festival, as well as Best Screenplay at Et Cultura Film Festival and The Director’s Choice Award at Indie Flicks. It was recently selected on the long list for the British Independent Awards’ Best British Short Film and has received a high number of selections and nominations at festivals worldwide.

In 2015 Eddie was shortlisted for the Kevin Spacey Foundation’s Artists of Choice and was signed for worldwide representation by Sayle Screen. He is currently developing a feature film adapted from his short I USED TO BE FAMOUS, short film COLONY starring Naomi Ackie, and television series’ entitled TRIBE and THE FUTURISTS.

Eddie co-founded Superplex Pictures along with filmmaker Adam Baroukh in 2011 as a platform for their work. He has since written and directed digital films for brands including Google, Canon, Lenovo, O2, Channel 4, Nescafe, Wella, Pepsi, and John Lewis.
