Hong's debut feature, LILTING, premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2014, winning the Best Cinematography Award in the World Dramatic Competition.
LILTING had 3 nominations at The British Independent Film Award, including Best Debut Director and Best Actress (Cheng Pei-Pei). The film also secured a BAFTA nomination for Outstanding Debut by A British Writer / Director.
Hong's second feature, MONSOON, premiered at Karlovy Vary Film Festival in 2019.
Most recently, Hong has directed the second season of Baptiste, starring Fiona Shaw and Techeky Karyo, airing on BBC One in July 2021.
