SAYLE SCREEN AT EDINBURGH FRINGE 2022: WHAT'S ON
Not long now until the Edinburgh Fringe! This year, there's a lot going for Sayle Screen. Here's everything you need to know:
Rachel Causer’s PLEASE, FEEL FREE TO SHARE will be showing at the Pleasance Courtyard, from the 3rd to the 29th of August.
PLEASE, FEEL FREE TO SHARE is a dark comedy about the growing need to share our entire lives, even if what we’re sharing isn’t always the truth and even if it takes us away from who we really are...
Karim Khan's BROWN BOYS SWIM will be showing at the Pleasance Dome, from the 3rd to the 14th and 16th to 28th of August.
This lyrical coming-of-age tale examines the pressures that surround young Muslim men today. Boisterous, horny, self-opinionated best friends Mohsen and Kash aren’t going to let the fact they can’t swim get in the way of nabbing an invite to the biggest event of term – a pool party. But learning how to swim is more than just a drop in the deep end – and it’s not long before this new way of moving begins to shift how they see each other and themselves.
James Ley's ODE TO JOY will be showing at the Summer Hall Demonstration Room, from the 3rd to the 28th of August.
A new LGBTQ play about love, friendship and Schokoladenkuchen from James Ley. First previewed on 21 July 2022 and presented at Edinburgh Festival Fringe as part of the 2022 Made in Scotland Showcase, by Stories Untold Productions Ltd.
In addition, James Ley's WILF will be showing at the Traverse Theatre, from the 5th to the 28th of August.
This riotous and heartfelt play follows Calvin, who has seen better days, and his trusty Volkswagen Polo, Wilf, on a hilarious and unapologetic ride through Scotland as they attempt to escape loneliness, cope with mental illness and learn to love themselves, with the help of one another.
Truly, not to be missed!
We're hugely excited to announce that both Karim Khan and James Ley have been awarded Fringe First Awards this week…
