Cat Hepburn is an award-winning scriptwriter, spoken word artist and educator based in Glasgow. Her work has featured on BBC 6 Music Festival, STV and the Edinburgh Fringe, and she has worked as a storywriter for RIVER CITY (BBC Scotland) and HOLLYOAKS (Lime Pictures). Cat’s short film SHAMED (BBC The Social) was nominated for a Prix Europa award and a Royal Television Society Award 2019. Cat’s debut solo show #GIRLHOOD, based on her book of the same name, debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe to 4 and 5 star reviews. The play is touring Spring 2020 across the UK and the Prague Fringe.

Cat is also the co-founder of Sonnet Youth, one of Scotland’s leading spoken word theatre organisations; and was recognised for her work with them in The List Hot 100. Cat recently wrote and presented the documentary THE NEW POETS (BBC Scotland/ Loop) and supported Dr John Cooper Clarke on his THE LUCKIEST GUY ALIVE tour.
