Christian Cooke

Christian is a writer, director and actor from Leeds. His short film EDITH starring Peter Mullan and Michelle Fairley was long listed for both the BAFTA and BIFA for Best Short Film, played at over 35 film festivals worldwide and won Best Short Film at both Norwich and Bolton Film Festivals. Christian’s debut feature film EMBERS was selected for the BFI London Film Festival Work-in-Progress Showcase, it premiered at Raindance Festival where it was nominated for Best UK Feature. As an actor, Christian stars in the upcoming limited series REMATCH for Disney + , playing Gary Kasparov, directed by Oscar-nominee Yan England. He has worked with directors Peter Kominsky, Stephen Merchant + Ricky Gervais, Tom Harper, David Slade and Joe Carnahanand and has starred alongside David Thewlis, Ralph Fiennes, Dominic Cooper, Bill Nighy and Dennis Quaid.
