Izzy is a screenwriter from Birmingham. She attended the National Film and Television School as a BBC Scholar and graduated with an MFA in Screenwriting. Her work centres on complex women, often with a queer perspective, and is grounded in dark comedy that explores life’s more absurd and uncomfortable truths.
Her debut short film, Sunday Lunch, has screened at several BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying festivals, including BFI Flare: London, Aesthetica Film Festival, British Shorts Film Festival (Berlin), and Watersprite Film Festival, where she was nominated for Best Screenplay.
Her debut feature screenplay, Ballers, has been nominated for Best Screenplay at the Birmingham Film Festival and the Sport-Comedy Film Festival (USA).
