Lee Hyunju

Lee Hyunju is a Korean writer/director based in London. Hyunju started her journey as a filmmaker at the Korea National University of Arts though her journey to becoming a storyteller started much earlier with her spending much of her childhood buried in books.

Hyunju was selected for the BFI NETWORK South West New Writers LAB and Independent Film Trust's Elevate Writers' Room.

In 2020, Hyunju received the Voices That Matter Scholarship.

Hyunju’s first English short film LUNA IN THE DARK was commissioned by BBC Arts and Arts Council England.
