RUNGANO NYONI WINS BEST DIRECTOR FOR THE UN CERTAIN REGARD JURY AT CANNES

Rungano Nyoni has been awarded Best Director by the Un Certain Regard jury at Cannes Film Festival for her film ON BECOMING A GUINEA FOWL. The 2024 selection has included 18 feature films – 8 of which are first features also competing for the Caméra d’or. This is Rungano's third feature, after NORDIC FACTORY (2014) and I AM NOT A WITCH (2017), which was also nominated for a Camera d'Or at Cannes in 2017.
