THE SWIMMERS TO OPEN TIFF

Sally El Hosaini's film THE SWIMMERS will have its world premiere at the Opening Gala of the 47th Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday 8th September. The film, directed and written by El Hosaini, tells the story of two young sisters as they embark on a harrowing journey as refugees, and put both their hearts and champion swimming skills to heroic use.

THE SWIMMERS is produced by Working Title for Netflix. It is co-written by Jack Thorne, and exec produced by Tilly Coulson, Stephen Daldry and Katherine Pomfret.
