BUGONIA nominated for four Academy Awards

Yorgos Lanthimos’ sci-fi black comedy, BUGONIA has received four nominations for the 2026 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay.
Emma Stone received a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in the film, with the film also receiving a nod for Best Original Score.
An English-language remake of the 2003 Korean film, SAVE THE GREEN PLANET, BUGONIA was released in cinemas in the UK and USA in October 2025.
The film is produced by Element Pictures and Square Peg, and distributed internationally by Focus Features.
